Unshaken Resolve

No one can sway me to embrace wickedness, whether through their treatment of me or an attempt to retaliate for their own misdeeds. I refuse to seek retribution, for that is the domain of the divine. Let it be known that I will not be molded into something I am not, regardless of the circumstances. 

Recently, a confidant approached me, urging me to exact vengeance upon a deceitful and oppressive acquaintance. They argued that since I was wrongly accused, I should mete out the same treatment in return. However, I steadfastly refused, for such actions contradict my very essence and upbringing. My focus lies in my destiny, and life is far too fleeting to be ensnared by frivolous and unfounded allegations. Let us press forward, for time marches on without pause, and I refuse to be distracted. My sights are set firmly on the path ahead.
